Hempstead is one of three towns of Nassau County, where you can find a bid an extremely ethnically – diverse. The three most significant parks are Hempstead Lake State Park, Valley Stream State Park and Jones Beach State Park, that includes picnic tables, tennis courts, playgrounds, playing fields, recreation programs, hiking, biking, fishing, ice skating, horseshoe, volleyball, basketball courts, picnic areas, and fireplaces.

Hempstead has excellent access and transportation routes, The train Long Island Raid Road that connect Long Island with Manhattan, Nassau Inter-County express with a large fleet of busses with local routs, and finally faster routs for family cars.

Hempstead has been a notable location since the birth of the United States. It was once an important location during the American Revolution, granting a visit from the first US president (George Washington). It eventually became one of the first incorporated villages in the country, and now has a bustling downtown area, that can rival some small cities. Hempstead fervently remains a place of importance and significance to the Long Island community.
