I'm pleased to share the innovative approach that led Zoni to be honored with the 2023 Education Award by the Rhode Island Government in partnership with the Go Global and International Trade Council.
Faced with the challenge of declining enrollments in American colleges in the following years, our team at Zoni conducted a comprehensive analysis. We identified multiple factors contributing to this trend, from the aspirations of high school graduates to become influencers and tech innovators, to concerns over the financial burden of college debt. These factors, combined with political dynamics and demographic shifts, paint a complex picture of the future of higher education.
In response to these challenges, Zoni pioneered the "Zoni College Tours" initiative for elementary school students.We recognized the importance of early exposure to higher education pathways. By introducing college tours at a foundational level, we aim to inspire young minds to envision a future that includes higher education, addressing the gap that currently exists.

Our presentation to the award judges highlighted this initiative, showcasing our proactive steps in cultivating an understanding of post-secondary education from an early age. While we acknowledge that this alone won't solve the larger issues, our efforts have begun to set a precedent. We expect that our innovative approach will inspire others to adopt similar strategies.
